DA PAIN!!!

Well, I'm not sure what prompted me to do it, but I did it nonetheless. I sit here with my tongue newly pierced wondering how the hell I'm gonna eat. Good thing I dont usually eat til later in the day! Probably the most aggravating thing is not being able to lick my lips. Telling my Mom ought to be fairly interesting. She virtually had a cow when I got my first tattoo...guess I'll have to wait and see. On another note...I'm hoping we haven't inadvertantly adopted another pup. The neighbor's dog seems to prefer being at our house where he tends to get some attention and stuff to eat. I hate to send him back, but at the same time, he's aggravating the shit outta me with the chewing and digging. Like I dont have enough trouble with Red chewing and Coubar digging. Blackie is an adorable, very sweet natured guy, but, damn....he's THEIR dog. It's bad enough that I've been taking care of their kids. They come over filthy and hungry and I cant stand it. So I've washed their clothes, made them lunch and given over tons of snacks. I even had Kayleigh clean out her closet of clothes that dont fit. I swear, being tendered hearted and considerate doesnt pay sometimes. I only hope that somewhere it makes a difference for them, even if it's a small one. Maybe they'll see what it's like to have food, clean clothes and toys and bitch enough to their lazy ass mother. The mother who admitted to me that she watches soap operas until 4 pm everyday and that her children are too much for her to handle. Jeez...ya think?!? Maybe if there wasnt seven of them it might not be so difficult! Especially if she ever decides to turn off the damn TV. Oh well, what can ya do? I'm just glad that my girls have good friends that they can hang out with. I never really had good enough friends to spend the night away or have them spend the night over. I'm sometimes glad that the phone rings alot for Kayleigh...and it's not always the same person. Now that it's summertime...my house seems to be either mostly empty or over-filled with kids! I'm trying to find bunkbeds for both girls just so we have room for them all! Gonna run for now. Kim

OY!

Well...I may have stepped into the realm of insanity! I agreed to let my 13 year old daughter have 3 of her friends sleep over. Add my 6 year old daughter and 19 month old son to the mix and this should be very interesting. This is the easy part....everyone is in the pool and out of my hair. But the morning should prove to be chaos! Guess we'll have to wait and see, eh? Oh yeah, and Tony has to work tomorrow, also. How wonderful it would be if he were going to be here to rescue my sanity. But since my oldest daughter has been moping around the house for weeks (all of her friends were out of town for the first part of summer vacation), its actually a welcome relief to see her DOING something.

Up Late Again

Well...surfing the web at 3 am is one of my downfalls. Every morning I tell myself that I'm going to bed early that evening. It rarely happens. It's amazing the things you can find to get into in the wee hours of the nite. I've always been a nite owl, at least for as long as I can remember. For me, the darkened, quiet hours are almost magical. The nothings that go on are definitely somethings and I enjoy being witness to the things no one else sees or hears. There's something odd about standing outside in the street in the middle of the night while my dogs wander hither and yon, sniffing up the day's activities of our neighborhood. There is a freedom from watchful eyes, the heat, the noise. Of course, I sometimes make plenty of noise when one of the dogs wander a little to far. But, I've heard no complaints in my years of late nite activities, so I guess no one bothers to wake enough to care. I hope that I will not bore the average reader with my late nite ramblings. They might promise to be quite interesting, who knows? I guess only time will tell. But for now, my blog is a new toy and we shall see what becomes.
